Profile – Cancer Registrar

Profile

A professional profile is a summary of the cancer registrar’s skills, strengths, and key experiences. It should convey what the cancer registrar is looking for and what they have to offer the person or organization that reads their resume. The profile can be used as an elevator pitch, or the in-person introduction that serves as a starting point to networking at job fairs or professional gatherings. Or, it can be used a a social media profile or other written materials to garner support and interest in what you have to offer in a professional capacity.

To create your professional profile, consider the following:

  • Keep it brief and focused,
  • Consider your audience,
  • Illustrate with examples,
  • Be clear about what you are capable of,
  • Be clear about what role or job you are seeking,
  • Lead with eye-catching words and phrases,
  • Put your profile where it is highly visible.

Just like your resume, your professional profile should be updated as your skills, competencies and background changes.
